Statement

Low-cost, unsophisticated and aesthetically unappreciated building materials and domestic elements, are the starting point of my artistic research. These raw materials undergo different manual processes to generate a visual reinvention, with influences from the architecture and design of different cultures and periods, with special focus on those that allude to Latin American aesthetics typical of my roots. From these everyday and common materials arises a plastic versatility, where the shape is transformed and not hidden, but rather assumes its original load and is affected by manual processes and references that allow multiple and diverse dissonant mixtures to generate hybrid, indefinite mestizo configurations.
